Displaying User-Selected MathML Subexpression

This demo shows how to obtain the user selected subexpression in a displayed MathML expression.

This demo works only under Firefox 1.5 or later.

Here is a mixed-mode MathML displayed

100x + 3-x 4 - π 9 =x3 -19π 14 3 -1x 12 100x x3 sqrt(-x+3)/4 + 100*x - PI/9 = x^3

  1. Use the mouse to highlight a subexpression in the above formula.

  2. To Show the MathML of the subexpression you selected, move the mouse over here
